In grateful remembrance of George Cleall who was born in this parish and died at Waltham Abbey vicarage February 22nd 1941, aged 83 years, and of his wife Cecilia, sometime head- mistress of South Perrott School, who fell asleep January 29th 1946, aged 86 years, and of their elder son Captain Percy Cawdell Cleall, B.A. who gave his life in war August 26th 1918, aged 28 years.
The electric heating and lighting installations in this church were the gift of their younger son Aubrey Victor George Cleall, M.A. Cannon of Chelmsford Cathedral, Vicar of Waltham Abbey. Lead kindly light.
